Canning Conveyor has been involved with design, manufacture, supply and the installation and commissioning of numerous projects for the power industry.

Designs include all aspects of fuel bulk handling for both coal and various biomass products.

Our dedicated and highly experienced team of engineers are able to offer a complete range of services that includes consultancy and design, manufacture, installation and training all of which is ‘professionally project managed’ and supported by one of the most comprehensive and reliable after sales service available in today’s market.

Currently we are involved in a project to design, manufacture and install part of the fuel handling system at the £200million state-of-the-art 50MW Biomass combined heat and power plant being built at Markinch in Fife, Scotland. The system consists of both conventional belt conveyors and low maintenance air support conveyors which have been designed in close co-operation with both the principle contractor and end users. With a design capacity of 920m3/hr the system is fully compliant with CDM and ATEX regulations.

Other high profile contracts recently undertaken include the design and supply of a conveyor system installed at a biomass plant at Tilbury and the design, manufacture and installation of part of the sewage handling system at the Shell Green process plant in Widnes. We have also supplied a complete conveyor System for the PFA beneficiation plant at Fiddlers Ferry power station and biomass handling conveyor systems at Ironbridge, Kingsnorth and Didcot power stations.

In addition to these projects our extensive portfolio includes ship-to-shore loading and unloading systems, mine and quarry conveyor systems, structural bridges, screening equipment, silos, crushers and general structural steelwork.
