The Canning Conveyor SuperDrive Jib Head Unit is designed specifically to power field conveyors for open pit, quarrying applications, conveying sand and gravel clay, overburden, colliery waste and other minerals/aggregates.
Noise pollution is high on the agenda in today's modern plant and outdoor environments, and as the SuperDrive's motor, gearbox and bearings are totally enclosed and hermetically sealed inside a steel shell, this reduces operational noise down to a whisper.
This enclosed steel shell has other benefits as it's unlikely to fail due to any ingress of harmful environmental materials such as water, dust, grit, chemicals and oil; additionally it will not contaminate any conveyed materials.
"I was impressed with the set up, smoothness and how quiet it operated at."
Richard Allott
Quarry Manager, Whisby Quarry
In a motorised pulley, the electric motor, gearbox and bearings mounted inside so the SuperDrive takes up less room than a conventional drive arrangement. Basically there is only the SuperDrive motorised pulleys and fixing brackets. Normally exposed drives can require up to eight or more separate components, this space saving design eliminates costly extras like chains, v-belts, couplingsm, bearings, large support structures and special guarding.
